Factory records on file for the car show it had been made to order with factory division for Mr. Ray Bass, Mississippi – Bass Pecan Company. Supplied by Rolls Royce INC, New York – who were the official importer of the marque. The original sale order had come from O.M.C Sports Lane Cars with the car to be ready for delivery 1st February 1961. Dispatched from PARK WARD & CO Wilsdon and delivered to Salford (ManchesterShed 9, No. 8 Dock. Loaded on the 4th February on the ‘Pacific’ Envoy’ later that same month. Benefitting from a number of non-stand factory options which include air conditioning ‘refrigeration’, Dunlop White sided tyres, picnic tables, electric windows, electric Delco arial, plain Sundym glass throughout and power assisted steering for the driver's comfort

Standing regally, this highly important example of the marque is 1 of just 98 LHD cars built in this body design, No.858 with factory division by PARK WARD & COThe Burr Walnut throughout the car is mirror finish, the brightwork is flawless including the over riders which is rare to see on this series. Having been the beneficiary of extensive works to both body and cabin where the car has been stripped back from its original colour of RR Midnight Blue and VM3244 light Blue cabin you can only then fully understand the extensive work which has been under taken and fully appreciate the time which went into the vehicle – these are not a small car and level of expenditure to undertake these works amounts to a significant amount of money

The car is on the button road ready having benefitted with though mechanical refreshment through our work shop, the working include the follow:

  • Brake service, with new master cylinder, wheel slave cylinders x2, front and rear wheel cylinders x2

  • Fuel system flushed with the fuel pump stripped removed and sonic cleaned and rebuilt
