  • Quite simply, among the very best available today

Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 1968, the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Berlinetta — forever known as the Daytona — marked the high point of Ferrari’s front-engined V12 era. Styled by Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina, its long, muscular bonnet, crisp lines and purposeful stance instantly cemented its place among the most beautiful and dramatic grand tourers ever created.

At its heart lies Ferrari’s mighty 4.4-litre Colombo V12 with six Weber carburettors, producing a soundtrack as thrilling as its performance. In period road tests, the Daytona astonished with 0–60 mph in just 5.4 seconds and a top speed of 174 mph — figures that even today put it firmly in the realm of true supercars.

This particular Daytona is especially desirable: one of only 158 right-hand-drive UK cars, supplied new by Maranello Concessionaires in May 1971. Its first owner, a passionate Ferrari collector, added it to a stable that also included a 275 GTB/4, Berlinetta Boxer and 288 GTO.

Today, finished once again in its striking original shade of Blu Chiaro Metallizzato, this Daytona presents superbly, with its cabin retaining the unmistakable period character of Ferrari’s golden era.

Returning to the UK market for the first time since 1974, this is an unmissable opportunity to acquire one of Ferrari’s most celebrated creations — a car that combines rarity, provenance and beauty in a way few others can match.
